I wish I could be optomistic and think that this would lower gas prices.

"We’re going to working on this another 10 years.”
And then the oil runs out.

Good news, I think. The oil companies will somehow use this as an excuse to raise prices.

This report is just telling us the way it is today since 1981. All these local active wells haven't really helped gas prices go down.

The big advance there will be an improvement in processing; perfecting an inground conversion is the big kahuna.

Move the unemployed there to man the new rigs that they build if their citizens do not want to work. Time to get us away from OPEC. NOBMAMA should be giving grants to companies that build more rigs & drill to keep our pumps cheap & filled.

Let's get more rigs drilling there ASAP. This will lead the way to oil independence from foreign oil.

"one of today’s rigs is able to do the same amount of drilling as eight older rigs in about one-third of the time."
The productivity improvement is amazing.

The Bakken find is far bigger in scope now that newer extraction techniques are available. This means A LOT MORE NATURAL GAS as well as crude oil.
